Observation start time: 05:30:00
Observation end time: 16:00:00
Total observation time: 10.5 hours

Official Counter: Cameron Cox

Observers:

Weather:
Strong NE winds were the story of the day with sustained winds in the teens
and gust exceeding 25 mph. The skies were overcast for much of the day. The
temperatures were a bit cooler than recently which was a welcome
development.

Raptor Observations:
There was a huge burst of birds starting before dawn but only lasting about
an hour. Once the winds really began to whip the birds tailed off and by
early afternoon the flight was essentially over.

Non-raptor Observations:
A male Eurasian Wigeon was found on Bunker Pond this morning. We also had 2
Lesser Black-backed Gulls and the first jaegers of the season offshore. A
flyby Buff-breasted Sandpiper and a Red-headed Woodpecker were other
highlights.

Predictions:
Another day of strong NE winds are predicted. It should be a moderate day.
