Hawkwatch, 2 October 2016

Peregrine Falcons ruled the skies today. A few American Kestrels moved through, a few additional Merlin were seen, and the Peregrine Falcons stole the show. This large falcon species circled low and high, near and far. It was a great day to study them among many angles of flight. Their unique structure, intense markings, and fluid wingbeats left us in awe.

Light northwest winds and partly sunny skies are expected tomorrow. It could be a great day for hawkwatching! Hope to see you at the hawkwatching platform.
