Hawkwatch, 10 October 2016

It was a stellar day of hawkwatching from the Cape May Hawkwatch! Sharp-shinned Hawks poured through the skies in kettles (migrating groups of raptors). Their flight intensity left us in awe. By the end of the day 2,241 Sharp-shinned Hawks had migrated through the skies. Other raptors moved through in exciting numbers as well! Today was the biggest day of raptor migration for the season so far. Take a look at the flight totals (below) from today.
