Rain could not stop the determined raptors from migrating
past the Cape May Hawkwatch. Although it was a dreary day, several Osprey and
the first-of-the-season Peregrine Falcon pushed through. One partial albino
Tree Swallow was spotted amongst the many pale-bellied dark-backed Tree
Swallows. The beautiful Bunker Pond always has a treat of birds in store.
Sunday’s forecast calls for clearer skies and
west winds. Bring on the raptors. It will be interesting to see what raptors
show up during these good migrating conditions. Hope to see you at the
hawkwatch!
