It was a tranquil day at Avalon, with near-record warmth and clear skies making for a beautiful "Indian Summer" day. The flight was light, as might be expected given the conditions, but there was still plenty to see. An adult Black-headed Gull flew by with a couple Bonaparte's Gulls during the morning, just after the season's first Common Goldeneye winged past. Three Lesser Black-backed Gulls were nice, and the day ended with a small push of scoters and Red-throated Loons.
