2,373 Migrants were counted at the Avalon Seawatch today. The bulk of them were Double-crested Cormorants, but a decent showing from Northern Gannets and Great Blue Herons spiced up the flight as well. A single juvenile Great Cormorant took up residence at the Jetty today, and two distant Parasitic Jaegers were nice as well. A Yellow-billed Cuckoo flying in over the Ocean in the afternoon must have been out over the water for a long time before getting back into the inlet.
