Today was a really fun day again at the seawatch. Clear skies, great visibility, and pleasantly warm temperatures provided a great setting for watching the 13,290 migrants that passed by today. A big Double-crested Cormorant movement occurred in the first hour (3,348), and scoters started to move in good numbers in the late afternoon. There was also some nice variety of ducks that mixed in with the scoters - always exciting.
Highlights included 2 Greater Scaup, 1 Lesser Scaup, 6 White-winged Scoters, 2 Red-breasted Mergansers, and 4 Parasitic Jaegers (three of which were chasing each other in the same field of view!).
