An unseasonably warm day today at the seawatch with some very enjoyable migrants as well. Double-crested Cormorants, Common Loons, and Northern Gannets moved early with a nice scoter movement in the late afternoon.
Highlights today included a White-winged Scoter, 3 Parasitic Jaegers (two of which came right now the bar!), and 2 Great Cormorants. Most of the scoter movement happened in the last few hours before sunset, and this afforded nice looks of large groups in great light. Right now, Black Scoters are dominating, with Surf Scoters sprinkled in.
