A blustery, rainy day at the seawatch today. Some birds were flying early, with a strong showing from Double-crested Cormorants and Great Blue Herons. Winds picked up and became strong fairly early in the day, with rain adding to the sea spray around noon. A slight trickle of ducks continued until the last few hours before sunset, when there wasn't much of anything moving as the rain really started to fall. Highlights were a group of 33 Black Skimmers loping south, and a couple close looks at Surf Scoters and Common Loons.
