It was a steady day of migration at the seawatch today. Not huge numbers, but enough activity all day long to keep things interesting. Nice numbers of Northern Pintail (194), Common (36) and Red-throated (51) Loons, Northern Gannets (758), and Double-crested Cormorants (5345).
Highlights included 4 Black-crowned Night Herons, a single White-winged Scoter, a single Common Eider going north, and 5 Brown Pelicans.
On the songbird front, a Purple Finch and Pine Siskin flew over, along with an American Pipit. An Eastern Phoebe was the lastest species to be added to the "sitting on the seawall" list.
