Raptor Observations:
Slow and steady movement of accipiters, with a small hit of buteos during the midday hours. A dark juv. Swainson's Hawk made a brief appearance well to the N during the early-PM, and was captured by banders at the Mag. Plant a few minutes later.

Raptor Observations:
A nice flight of Sharp-shins throughout, with a surprising burst of Golden Eagles during the midday hours. A strong number of Bald Eagles for the date, and the season's second Swainson's Hawk (juv. light-morph) during the late-PM.

Light migration conditions last night produced far fewer birds than yesterday, and with the light south winds a majority of the flight was southbound migrants. Hopefully with the passage of this cold front it will bring another great day to the dike- the cold temperatures, not so much...
They started to pump dredge spoils up top the dike in the past couple of days, finally bringing more waders in- 2 Lesser Yellowlegs, 19 Dunlin, and 9 Killdeer.
