Cloud cover increased then decreased over the course of the day with temps reaching 57F. Raptor Observations: Still a decent number of sharpies flying over the far treeline over the day. Red-tails and harriers were on a roll between 10 and 12, then flight dissipated in the afternoon except for a brief glimpse at a Golden Eagle. Non-raptor Observations: American Robin, Red-winged Blackbird, Common Grackle, American Goldfinch, House Finch, Purple Finch, Pine Siskin, and Eastern Bluebird(12) on the move. Also, Cave Swallow(2) sighted from the platform; Bonaparte's Gull(2), Redhead(1), Wood Duck(6), Bufflehead(3), Eurasian Wigeon(2) and Snow Geese(7) on the pond. Predictions: Generally sunny with winds from the west becoming south 5-10 in the afternoon. Warmer with temperatures in the low 60's.
