Avalon Seawatch

Things are starting to pickup in Avalon at the Seawatch. The past couple of days have seen good numbers of gulls and cormorants moving, and the ducks are starting to pickup. The first American Wigeon, Wood Duck, and Lesser Scaup were seen, and one Parasitic Jaeger flew by on 5th. Fout Brown Pelicans and the first White-winged Sctoers were recorded on the 6th.

Monarchs have been on the move as well, and the numbers were amazing on the 5th. I would take an educated guess and say that some 5,000 plus flew by on the 5th and the 6th was much less, but still at least a 1,000 moved on by.
