Avalon Seawatch - October 3, 2011

Today brought a mixed bag of weather to Avalon, with warm sunshine at times and heavy downpours at others. The flight was also a bit of a mixed bag, with the most numerous bird of the day being Laughing Gull among 20 species recorded for the count. A light-morph adult Parasitic Jaeger was a highlight of the afternoon, and 106 Great Blue Herons moved through during the last 25 minutes of sunlight this evening.
