Seawatch - Tuesday, Nov 7, 2017

Tuesday was a nice day of northeast winds, producing a moderate push of scoters and cormorants. 15,000 birds were tallied, with a nice diversity of birds, including scaup, teal, Wood Duck, pintail, Long-tailed Duck, Bufflehead, Common Goldeneye, and Red-breasted and Hooded Mergansers.  Not too many loons have begun migrating through, but they should increase considerably in the coming days.  44 White-winged Scoters throughout the day was also a respectable number.
