Today was a fairly slow, windy day at the seawatch, but it still was enjoyable with a few migrants and a nice ever-changing and growing raft of ducks hanging out next to the jetty. 3,014 migrants were counted, with Canada Geese, Black Scoters, Northern Gannets, and Ring-billed Gulls putting in nice showings.
The gannet show was quite good today with a few hundred gannets diving very close to shore. Other highlights were 3 Gadwall, 12 Common Eider, and 19 Bufflehead.
The raft by the jetty today at some point contained all three species of scoter (including a stunning male White-winged Scoter), a Wood Duck, Brant, an American Black Duck, and 12 Common Eider.
