Seawatch, 9 December 2015

Peak season-like flights continue at the Avalon Seawatch Wednesday. Over 32,000 birds were tallied with the 2nd largest Black Scoter flight of the season! Great counts for White-winged & Surf Scoters, Red-throated Loon and Northern Gannet. The highlight was 17 Razorbills, but Black-legged Kittiwake, adult male Common Eider, Red-necked Grebe and several Humpback Whales were also exciting!
