Raptor Observations: A Merlin cruised past close early on to be the first bird of the last day of the the 2015 season and the highlight of the day. The last bird, a Sharp-shinned Hawk, cut over the treeline at 3:49 PM to become the final bird of season, a total of 26,111. A difficult season in many respects with little of the weather that drives bird to Cape May but even on a slow year Cape May shines and there were plenty of exciting moments. Non-raptor Observations: The White-faced Ibis continues as does our Blue Goose. Most other birds were keeping low and out of the wind. Predictions: No longer relevant ======================================================================== Report submitted by Cameron Cox (Kumlieni@gmail.com) Cape May information may be found at: http://BirdCapeMay.org
