The migration doldrums continued this morning, although the "flight" of mosquitoes was noteworthy. And because of this, I finally upgraded my footwear from open- to closed-toed. Northern Waterthrushes again held true to form and were flying about, despite poor conditions. Otherwise, warbler diversity actually increased from yesterday, which is saying something, I think.

The highlight of the day was a flyby Marbled Godwit that came in off the bayshore and appeared to be heading east on the canal. Otherwise, 17 southbound Brown Pelicans and 6 Belted Kingfishers were both good counts.
