Observers:        

Weather:
Warm and humid with variable cloudiness throughout the day. Some
thunderstorm activity well to our north and west during the afternoon
hours. Winds SSW in the morning, shifting to WSW by late-morning; 10-15mph
throughout.


Raptor Observations:
Very little movement today. A few Osprey passing through after the wind
gained more of a westerly component.

Non-raptor Observations:
A nice shorebird flight took place during the morning, and continued at a
slower pace through the rest of the day. Included were Lesser Yellowlegs (422), Pectoral Sandpiper (101), Stilt Sandpiper (66), Semipalmated
Sandpiper (31), Least Sandpiper (27), Red Knot (17), Whimbrel (2),
Black-bellied Plover (1) and American Golden-Plover (1).

Other highlights: Gull-billed Tern, Black Tern (3+), Lesser Black-backed
Gull (2)

Predictions:
Another warm day, but with a hopeful forecast for northwest winds in the
morning.
