Avalon Seawatch, 11 December 2016

It was a very chilling day at the Avalon seawatch; we even had some snow flurries in the morning!  The highlight from the day was the switch in wind from a northern to a southwesterly direction, which brought with it a solid flight of scoter species.  Red-throated loons were also consistently flying throughout the day.  The total number of birds seen today was 4,782.
