Another day of strong NE wind and occasional showers and surprisingly some birds moved. Not many, but far more than I expected. I guess that's why we get up and go outside every morning. The highlight of the morning was an alternate (AKA eclipse, a travesty of a term for a plumage, completely unnecessary) male Pintail that sparked a brief but interesting discussion of the appropriate adjectives to describe the structure of various ducks. Did I mention it was a bit slow?
