COLD FRONT!! September 9, 2010
Yesterday's cold front left us with some pretty good northwest winds last night and all day today, resulting in some great counts at morning flight and hawkwatch. Great numbers of Cliff Swallows and American Kestrels probably headlined the diurnal flight today around Cape May. There were also some rare birds around, including 2 Wilson's Phalaropes, a Golden-winged Warbler, a "Brewster's" Warbler, and a crazy RED PHALAROPE that flew over the hawkwatch platform. As soon as we recover from a full day of birds, we'll put up the totals.
