Morning Flight - 3 October 2012

Today's flight felt much like the weather - stagnant.  In what seemed to be a throwback to August, it was warm, humid, and buggy at Higbee Beach this morning.  Despite these conditions, a few noteworthy birds were still flying about, including the season's first Eastern Meadowlarks (5) and just the third 2012 White-breasted Nuthatch.  Only 24 warblers of 7 species were seen flying north and for the second consecutive morning, a small flight of southbound Yellow-rumped Warblers were observed.
