Morning Flight, 29 September -- 1 October 2015

Birds and weather.  Weather and birds.  The two are completely intertwined.  There wasn't much flying over the Higbee dike during the last two days of September.  Interesting stuff like American Pipit, Dickcissel, and the first-of-season Eastern Meadowlark were the highlights for those days.  But yesterday had some morning arrivals that were present to be counted in the light rain.  These songbirds (predominated by 168 warblers of 16 species) were hop-scotching up and down the road below the dike, but not doing very dramatic Morning Flight moves over the Cape Island canal.
